Who is eligible to stay at the Sea Pines Recreational Facilities?

Sea Pines Recreational Facilities authorized patrons include US active duty Service members, military retirees, reservists, guardsmen, DoD civilians, NATO personnel with NATO ID card assigned within Italy, and dependent Family members of authorized persons. Sea Pines patronage is governed by Department of Defense Instruction 1015.10 (Programs for Military Morale, Welfare and Recreation). NATO Forces with privileges in Italy are only those assigned or TDY in Italy as specified in Section III, Chapter 17, AER 600-700. The Sea Pines Recreational Facilities is open Monday thru Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. Guests arriving after hours may pick up room keys from the safe deposit boxes by digiting the last 4 numbers of their social security number. NATO guests will digit the first 4 numbers of their NATO ID number.

*Standard Rooms:* ~Double bed, ~Single bed, ~Chair bed (suitable for a child), ~Private bathroom, ~TV, ~VCR, ~DVD player, ~Refrigerator, ~Microwave oven, ~Air conditioning between months of June and September
Deluxe Cabins: ~Double bed, ~Single bed, ~Chair bed (can accommodate two persons), ~Private bathroom, ~TV, ~VCR, ~DVD player, ~Refrigerator, ~Microwave oven, ~Air conditioning and heating Rustic Cabins: ~Double bed, ~Single bed, ~Chair bed (can accommodate two persons), ~TV, ~VCR, ~DVD player, ~Refrigerator, ~Microwave oven, ~Air conditioning and heating. NO BATHROOM FACILITIES.
Campsites & RV Sites: Qty 72 electrical campsites, qty 3 RV sites (concrete platform). Barbeque grills, covered wash points and picnic tables are located throughout the campground area. Qty 2 large shower facilities located on either side of the campground. Two overflow areas (open camping) for groups.
*Transportation services at Camp Darby are extremely limited. Options are car rental from the local on-post Europcar Rental, a car rental agency at the Pisa Airport or taxi services. Please be advised that taxis are not permitted on Camp Darby and are costly ~ approximately Euro 30 per trip from Pisa to Camp Darby. If you choose a taxi as your mode of transportation, you will be dropped off at the front gate entrance. On-post Europcar Rental open Mon-Fri 10 am to 5 pm and Sat 10 am to 2 pm. Trains: The main train station in Pisa and Livorno can be a fast and speedy way to travel to nearby tourist destinations. Click here for ticket prices and timetables.
Airports: The Pisa Airport (PSA) is sometimes referred to by booking agents as the Florence-Pisa Airport. Florence (FLO) is one-hour away from Camp Darby. There is an airport shuttle that runs between the two airports. The Pisa Airport has daily flights to Munich Germany, Paris France, Milan and Rome. There are also budget airlines that offer low fares to Dublin, London, Frankfurt-Hahn and Brussels. Click here for more airport information.
